What’s cooking at Children’s Oasis Nursery?

The importance of nutrition to a child’s growth, development and overall health and happiness cannot be understated. Not only does good nutrition have a direct impact on learning, concentration, mood and behavior, it also lays the groundwork for good nutrition habits later in life and a lifelong love of good, healthy food!

We, at Children’s Oasis Nursery, love good food and recognizing how important nutrition is for our children; and for you, their parents, we are happy to announce a new partnership with Pinch Gourmet, one of Dubai’s leading gourmet catering companies.

Working closely with Pinch Gourmet’s Head Chef, Elias Kandalaft, we have been busy perfecting a nourishing and tasty menu designed to give children the energy and nutrients needed for a full – and fun – day of learning.

Effective immediately, the result is now balanced, wholesome and fiber-rich meals comprising lean protein (mainly from fish, chicken or lean beef), whole grains, and vegetables. All meals are gluten-free, free of refined sugar, low in fat and salt and nut-free. Working closely with Pinch Gourmet, we are also able to cater for allergies or other requirements with advanced notice – just let us know!
All meals are made fresh daily and are delivered to the nursery in temperature controlled dishes to be served by our teaching staff warm promptly at 12.30pm.

About Pinch Gourmet & Chef Elias

The mastermind behind the comfort food catering company, Pinch Gourmet, is Jordanian-Canadian Chef Elias Kandalaft. Formally trained at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute, located in Canada’s capital, Chef Elias’ culinary career saw him move to Montreal, Quebec to work under some of North America’s best chefs, in some of the city’s most respected restaurants. As years passed, Chef Elias’ skills and passion for cooking grew, as did his appreciation for good, wholesome ingredients.

With a love of food and armed with the latest culinary techniques, Chef Elias decided to embark on a new journey to Dubai, where he would bring his skills to a more vibrant market. His appetite for seriously good food and quality ingredients fueled his passion for cooking daily, leading him to establish Pinch Gourmet in 2015. We will always have extremely fond and treasured memories of our girls time at Children’s Oasis. The teachers are so creative and fun, always thinking of new ways to engage the children and the thoughtful and varied outdoor areas were always a favourite of theirs. We loved the intimate, friendly feel and all the little extras which makes it feel that you are part of a community. Thanks for everything, we really couldn’t have asked for a better start and we will miss you all.

Both my boys were at Children Oasis from the time they were 2 and until they were 4 years old; first attending the Spanish Programme and then, FS1. Both classes were great! The teachers are incredibly professional and caring. The communication with the parents is excellent and reports are detailed. They make learning fun and engaging for the kids who learn through hands-on activities and play. The facilities are beautiful with lots of stimulating and educational books and toys. I couldn't ask for more during those early years for my children!
