Today the Alligators garden has gone back in time by millions of years and has now transferred to Dinosaur Land.
The children are welcomed by Miss Nadya and Miss Alix as well as T-Rex and his friends in a botanical garden for the children to explore. The children enjoy digging in the soil, trudging the dinosaurs through the mud and stomping in the leaves.
Inside the classroom, there are various table top activities for the children to investigate and learn. Some of us are making dinosaur footprint artwork by dipping the dinosaurs into the paint. There are other children playing “mummy’s and daddy’s” in our living room role-play area. Mummy is busy ironing some clothes and watering our plants on the shelf, whilst daddy is busy sweeping the floor and dusting the furniture.
There is a number game taking place on the carpet with a big set of dice and number mats, where some of the class are practicing our counting and number recognition.
It is now time for us to get ready for a snack. We all help tidy up the toys using our special tidy up song. We did such a great job!
We all sit down for circle time and do our self- registration activity to see who is in our class today. Our special helper of the day puts out our snack mats on the table as we all wash our hands and sit down at the table for our healthy snacks.
Singing with Archie is next! Our special helper leads the class into the reception area to join our friends to sing along an dance to our favourite songs.
We make our way to the kitchen to become mini chefs for the latter part of our morning. We are making Mexican salsa today, a recipe one of our mums has brought in for us. We get busy exploring our colourful vegetables, taking turns to chop, squeeze, grate and mix our ingredients together. The finished result is a tasty, zesty salsa, sprinkled onto tortilla chips.
We end our busy morning with a story chosen by our Special Helper. They have picked “there’s a lion in my cornflakes”, one of our new favourites. While the story is read to the children, a new idea transforms for another exciting adventure tomorrow………
We will always have extremely fond and treasured memories of our girls time at Children’s Oasis. The teachers are so creative and fun, always thinking of new ways to engage the children and the thoughtful and varied outdoor areas were always a favourite of theirs. We loved the intimate, friendly feel and all the little extras which makes it feel that you are part of a community. Thanks for everything, we really couldn’t have asked for a better start and we will miss you all.
What I love about Children's Oasis is how well looked after my children are and how comfortable they feel. They know the names of most of the staff and will always say 'hi' and often stop for a chat. It's a calm and nurturing environment.
We love children’s Oasis Nursery. It has been a part of our lives for over 8 years with both our girls going there. The staff are all amazing and really care for the children.
Muchas gracias Children's Oasis!!!
Both my boys were at Children Oasis from the time they were 2 and until they were 4 years old; first attending the Spanish Programme and then, FS1. Both classes were great! The teachers are incredibly professional and caring. The communication with the parents is excellent and reports are detailed. They make learning fun and engaging for the kids who learn through hands-on activities and play. The facilities are beautiful with lots of stimulating and educational books and toys. I couldn't ask for more during those early years for my children!
